Habitat
Plant epiphyte, grows in seasonally dry forest at an altitud of around 4000 feet.
Observations
Endangered species because of habitat destruccion and overcollection. Distinguished by the pale to dark lavender flowers, also exist alba and semialba varieties.

In the Southern Hemisphere during October to December.
